These Terms and Conditions apply to all sales of our products by Wood Import Company OÜ (“Seller”) to business customers (“Buyer”) located in France, including purchases made through norsewood.eu. We sell exclusively to registered companies and do not engage in transactions with private individuals. By placing an order or using our website, you agree to these terms.

Product Descriptions
- We strive to provide accurate descriptions and images of our products However, slight variations in color, size, and moisture content may occur.
Pricing & VAT
- All prices are listed in EUR and exclude VAT, unless otherwise stated. Standard shipping costs are included in the product price. However, if additional costs arise due to failed delivery attempts, restricted access, or special delivery arrangements, the Buyer will be responsible for these extra charges.
- If the Buyer is a VAT-registered business in France and provides a valid VAT number, the sale qualifies as an intra-Community supply, and a 0% VAT rate applies. The Buyer is responsible for reporting and paying VAT in France under the reverse charge mechanism.
- If the Buyer is not VAT-registered, Estonian VAT at 24% will be added to the invoice.
- The Buyer is responsible for any applicable import duties, local taxes, or other charges under French tax regulations.
- Prices are subject to change without prior notice. If an error in pricing occurs, the Seller reserves the right to cancel the order or adjust the price before confirming the sale.
Availability
- All products are subject to availability. If an item is out of stock, we will notify the Buyer and offer an alternative if available.
Ordering Process
- The minimum order is one full pallet, which can be customized with a selection of our various products.
- The Buyer selects products from our online store and places an order by providing company details and shipping information.
- The Seller sends order confirmation and issues an invoice.
- The invoice includes the total cost of the products, with standard shipping already included in the price. However, if additional costs arise due to failed delivery attempts, restricted access, or special delivery arrangements, the Buyer will be responsible for these extra charges.
- Invoices must be paid within 10 days. As part of our process, we conduct a credit assessment for each customer. If the assessment is positive, we dispatch the order immediately. Otherwise, we require payment in advance before shipping.
- The Seller reserves the right to decline orders without obligation to provide a reason.
Order Acceptance
- Orders are subject to final approval by the Seller.
- The Seller may refuse or cancel an order due to pricing errors, stock issues, or suspected fraud.
Payment Terms
- Payment must be made in EUR (€) via bank transfer only.
- Credit cards, PayPal, and checks are not accepted.
- The invoice must be paid within 10 days. If the credit assessment is positive, the order will be shipped after order confirmation.
- The Buyer bears all bank charges related to the transfer.
- Orders not paid within 10 days from invoice issuance may be automatically canceled.
Late Payments
- If payment is delayed, we may charge 8% interest per year above the European Central Bank reference rate.
- The Buyer is responsible for all collection costs if legal action is required.
Delivery Terms
Delivery Areas
- We deliver exclusively to mainland France.
- We do not deliver to Corsica or other islands.
Delivery Conditions
- The Buyer must provide a delivery location that is accessible by a truck (17m long, 2.6m wide, 4m high) and has a solid, stable surface suitable for unloading pallets.
- Standard deliveries are made using a truck without a tail-lift. In such cases, the Buyer is responsible for arranging unloading equipment (e.g., forklift or similar).
- If delivery is not possible due to restricted access—such as narrow roads, weight limitations (truck weight exceeds 40 tons), or unstable ground—additional costs will apply. If you are unsure about accessibility, please contact us before placing your order.
- If a delivery attempt fails due to inadequate access or an unsuitable unloading surface, additional charges will apply.
- If an order is canceled while already in transit, the Buyer is responsible for all shipping costs incurred.
Delivery Times & Delays
- Estimated delivery time: 2-3 weeks, depending on location.
- The Seller provides estimated delivery times, but delays may occur due to logistics.
- The risk of loss or damage transfers to the Buyer upon delivery.
Returns and Refunds

No Right of Withdrawal
- Since we sell B2B (business-to-business), the EU consumer right of withdrawal does not apply.
Return Policy
- Returns are not accepted, except in cases of defective or incorrect products.
- The Buyer must report any defects within:
- 3 working days from receiving the goods for visible defects, incorrect deliveries, or missing items.
- 7 working days for hidden defects discovered later.
- To submit a claim, the Buyer must provide clear photos showing the damaged goods, packaging, moisture percentage (if applicable).
- If a return is approved, the Buyer covers the return shipping costs unless the fault is on the Seller’s side.
Refunds
- Refunds are processed within 14 days after returned goods are inspected.
- Refunds will be made via bank transfer.
Product Quality, Warranty & Liability
Product Use
- Our firewood products are for domestic use only.
- The Seller is not liable for damage caused by improper use or storage.
Defects & Claims
- The Seller does not offer a warranty on firewood, as it is a natural product.
- The Buyer must inspect the goods upon delivery and report any defects within:
- 3 working days for visible defects, incorrect deliveries, or missing items.
- 7 working days for hidden defects discovered later.
- Claims will not be accepted if the goods have been:
- Resold, processed, or altered.
- Affected by humidity, pests, or improper storage.
- All claims must include clear photos showing the defect, moisture percentage, and any other relevant details.
Liability Limitations
- The Seller’s maximum liability is limited to replacing defective goods or issuing a refund.
- The Seller is not liable for indirect or consequential damages.
Intellectual Property
- All content on norsewood.eu (text, images, logos) is the property of Wood Import Company OÜ.
- Unauthorized use or distribution is prohibited.
Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
- These Terms and Conditions are governed by Estonian law.
- Any disputes will be settled in Estonian courts, unless mandatory French business laws apply.
Changes to Terms and Conditions
- The Seller reserves the right to update these Terms and Conditions at any time.
